I'm using this in a Schiit Vali 2 headphone amp. Plugging headphones into my instrument mixer is okay, but I find a vast improvement in clarity when I run the mixer's signal through the headphone amp. I also tested the Schiit against a Fiio Mont Blanc headphone amp. The Schiit Vali 2's output is noticeably warmer with better bass response. I know this is all totally subjective. Also, based on research, I didn't even experiment with the stock tube that came with the Vali 2. I just plugged the JJ into the amp as soon as I unboxed it. I like the sound the JJ kicks out so much that I feel no need to audition the stock tube.

I have a Schiitt Lyr. I was using the factory GE tubes that they supply. They sound grainy to me . I decided to buy these JJ’s Gold pin. My musis came alive. I also bought the Genelex Gold Lions they sound good but there boring. I have A and B tested them and the JJ’s are better. I use them with the Sennheiser HD650 and they make these headphones sound fantastic. The veil people say on these headphones doesn’t exist. It is there with the Gold Lions. Get the JJ,s. Great value for the money!

I use this JJ with my AUNE T1 SE. It's definitely better than the stock tube. The sound is smooth and warm. The details are clear and clean. Very pleased with the tube.
The shipping was fast and the package was secure.

I've only had this for a few weeks and it's not fully broken in. I have about 25 - 30 hours on it is all. I'm using it in a Schiit Vali 2 headphone amp with a Schiit Modi 2 Uber DAC and Sennheiser HD 650 headphones rounding out the rest of my system.
I'm new to tube rolling so take this review with that in mind. So far this is the best tube I have for the Vali but I only have 3 sooooo. The stock tube is terrible, I like this JJ, and I just got a new one I haven't listened to yet. What this JJ does so well is tame the highs. My previous amp was the Magni 2 Uber and the highs on it were annoyingly shrill at times. Another like for the JJ is it's just kind of relaxed. It sounds nice. If I don't find a better sounding tube I'm ok with that.
Shipping was fast, I got what I ordered, whats not to like?
